## Player impact

Ahsmuhs led Carson-Newman with 14 kills and ten digs. Maddie Hurst added seven kills and Dziczkowski six. Cherry supplied 29 assists and two aces, while Chloe Edens also served twice for aces. ## Mayberry’s take

The Eagles avoided a prolonged close after the third-set tie, winning seven of the final eight points. Their lower error total also explains why a relatively small kills advantage translated into three comfortable set margins. Because service and block totals were close, the attacking-error comparison is especially useful. The result offers evidence of efficient execution without needing to attribute the finish to an unverified tactical change.

## Conference context

This was nonconference play. The result adds to the season’s evidence without changing the SAC standings. Subsequent matches will show whether the performance patterns here persist against different opposition.

## Evidence scope

This analysis uses the official match statistics and rally log. It does not assign unreported tactical decisions, injuries or psychological explanations to the scoring patterns.
