## Volleyball road tests frame a Hartsville home slate

Coker’s volleyball team takes a 6–3 overall record into trips to Catawba and Lenoir-Rhyne. Both hosts have already won three conference matches. At home, field hockey meets Belmont Abbey and the tennis teams are listed against Newberry. Coker’s soccer teams have no fixture in the verified conference weekend calendar; that is a schedule observation, not a claim of inactivity across the entire athletic department.

## Your weekend schedule

Times are Eastern. TBA means the source has not supplied a confirmed start. Check the linked athletic source before travel; schedules can change.

## Pregame position

| Sport | Overall | SAC |
| ------------------ | ------- | --- |
| Women's Volleyball | 6-3 | 1-2 |

Records are the official SAC standings read Friday morning, September 18, before this weekend’s play. Soccer records include draws; a two-part record has no recorded draw.

## What to watch

### Women's Volleyball

Watch serve reception and the ability to end the opponent’s scoring runs. Friday and Saturday are separate matches; the second preview baseline will need refreshing after Friday’s result.

### Tennis

Use the posted event format and individual results to evaluate the opening fall matches. Tournament entries and exhibition listings should not be converted into a team dual score without an official result.

### Field hockey

Follow how penalty corners become actual shots and whether sustained pressure produces goals. A corner advantage by itself does not establish superior finishing or goalkeeper performance.

**Mayberry’s pregame view:** This is a watch list grounded in the current schedule and standings, not a numerical forecast. Starting lineups and player availability have not been independently confirmed.
