## Mayberry's take

Catawba has banked the most conference points in this snapshot. Anderson has played only one SAC match, so the points gap is partly a difference in opportunity. Carson-Newman has four points, although the conference website lists it below two teams with three. Read the points column directly; the source order is not a points ranking.

## Selected recent results

Catawba followed a 5-0 win at Newberry with a 3-0 nonconference win at Barton and a 2-0 home win over Mars Hill. Those three clean sheets provide a useful recent baseline. They do not by themselves establish how the defense will fare against the rest of the league.
