SAC Volleyball Game Day: Six Matches to Watch — September 25, 2026

Six SAC volleyball matches are on Friday’s slate. Anderson carries an eight-match streak into a top-of-the-table visit to Catawba; LMU–Wingate is level at 4–3 in conference play.

Friday’s South Atlantic Conference slate offers six women’s volleyball matches. Anderson visits Catawba in a top-of-the-table test, while Lincoln Memorial travels to Wingate for an evenly matched conference contest. All times Eastern.

6:00 p.m. — Carson-Newman at Coker
Carson-Newman is 11–3 overall and 4–2 in SAC play; Coker is 6–5 and 1–4. The Eagles have been excellent at home, but tonight they are at Coker, where the Cobras are 3–1. A confident opening and steady first contact are Coker’s clearest route to making the venue matter. Carson-Newman will look to turn its stronger season form into early control.

6:00 p.m. — Newberry at Lenoir-Rhyne
LR enters 8–3 overall, 6–1 in conference and on a four-match winning streak. Newberry is 9–4 overall but 2–4 in SAC play. The Bears’ 5–0 home record and current league form make this a demanding road test for the Wolves. Newberry needs to keep the first rotations competitive and avoid giving LR long scoring runs.

7:00 p.m. — Lincoln Memorial at Wingate
Both teams are 4–3 in conference. LMU has won three straight; Wingate comes in after a loss. This is the closest conference-table matchup of the night. Watch which team turns defense into transition points and executes better when a set reaches its final five points.

7:00 p.m. — Tusculum at Emory & Henry
Tusculum is 6–5 overall and 3–4 in the SAC; Emory & Henry is 0–11. The Wasps will want to stay close in the opening set and build confidence; Tusculum should look to carry forward the rhythm of its recent win without donating service points.

7:00 p.m. — Mars Hill at UVA Wise
Mars Hill is 7–7 overall and 2–4 in conference; UVA Wise is 4–6 and 3–4. Both teams are on two-match losing streaks, making this a valuable reset opportunity. The first side to stabilize serve-receive and avoid extended error runs can take command of a matchup where the records are relatively close.

7:00 p.m. — Anderson at Catawba
Anderson brings an eight-match winning streak and a 6–0 conference record to Salisbury. Catawba is 8–3 overall and 4–3 in SAC play, with a loss in its last match. The Trojans have the strongest league position, but Catawba has a 5–2 home record. Anderson’s Emily Campbell recently recorded 35 kills across three matches while hitting .444 and added 11 total blocks, earning SAC offensive-player recognition. Catawba’s challenge is to disrupt clean attacking chances and make Anderson earn points in longer exchanges.

Tonight’s quick read: Anderson–Catawba is the headline test; LMU–Wingate is the most even by conference record; and Coker has a home-court chance against a stronger overall opponent.
