## Mayberry's take

Anderson is 2-0 in the SAC, compared with Catawba at 3-1\. Both the record and the number of matches matter. Newberry has an 8-2 overall record but a 1-2 conference start, an especially clear example of why the two columns should not be treated as interchangeable.

Anderson lost to Ferris State and West Texas A&M in Colorado, then won four straight matches. Its first two SAC results were a 3-1 win over Carson-Newman and a 3-0 win over Lincoln Memorial.
